A Guide to College Fjord, Alaska
Other Alaska Glaciers
College Fjord, located in the northern part of Prince William Sound, was discovered by the Harriman Expedition in 1899. Expedition members named the glaciers
after famous American colleges - the glaciers on the southeast side of College Fjord are named after men's colleges, those on the northwest side after women's colleges.
